Submitting a DMCA Takedown Notice

To be effective, your notice must include (per 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3)):

Identification of the copyrighted work
Identification of the infringing material (e.g., URL)
Contact information (address, phone, email)
A good faith statement that the use is unauthorized
A statement under penalty of perjury that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner

Counter-Notification Procedures

If you believe your content was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notification to our Designated Agent. It must include:

Your physical or electronic signature
Identification of the removed material and its prior location
A statement under penalty of perjury that the removal was a mistake
Your contact information and consent to jurisdiction in the relevant Federal District Court

Upon receiving a valid counter-notice, we will forward it to the original complainant. If no legal action is filed within 10–14 business days, we may restore the removed material.

Repeat Infringer Policy

StateBizGuides LLC will terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who are determined to be repeat infringers. A repeat infringer is any user for whom we have received two or more valid DMCA takedown notices within a rolling 12-month period. At our sole discretion, this may result in suspension or termination of access to StateBizGuides services.
